Last month, Singapore and Hong Kong each recorded 10 and 6 partner moves respectively, showing a busy lateral market during the summer period. The most eye-catching move was Latham taking a two partner capital markets and M&A team from Freshfields in Hong Kong.

The Australian market was similarly busy last month, witnessing 10 major partner hires across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, that were made by prominent international law firms including A&O Shearman, King & Spalding, Norton Rose Fulbright, DLA Piper, Ashurst Perkins Coie and Squire Patton Boggs. In addition, SIAC’s opening of their third Indian office in Delhi was also noteworthy.
